Comments: I worked as a Diver for Jim Lewis in R-1 division, stood deck sentry security, drove the Bid Boat and towed both barges back to Dong Tam when we left Country.

Comments: My father served aboard the USS Myrmidon (ARL-16) from commissioning thru the end of the war. I'm looking for on deck photos of ARL's in preparation for molding ship. I found a site some time ago but lost the URL. Also there was a LST site with many photos but can't find it. I thought is was the LST 325 site but can't find pix. If anyone knows where I can find photos please let me know. Regards, Jim

Comments: I remember going to the fantail in 1967 to transfer cases of beer down to the barge for a Sunday barge party and finding holes in several cans. It seems someone along the banks of the Mekong river had been shooting at us. Also remember the damage to the Benawah one night. My heart still goes out to those guys who manned the small boats. I can not imagine how they were able to go where they did.
