Comments: Worked on Askari (ARL-30) as outside Electrian Mate EM3 from 1968-1969 pickup ship in Japan. I have pictures and will join your group. I was outside repair and worked on the boats.

Comments: Hi, Right out of shipfitter school in 61, I reported to the USS Pandemus, ARL18, Charleston Sc. Had the hull cracked on our way to Va. had to turn back. Still have the book written by 1 of the officers, The Ship With a Flat Tire, What a Ride!

Comments: I served on the USS Askari after she returned from Sasebo, Japan in 1955 through her decommissioning in Astoria, Oregon in 1956. I was a Yeoman 2nd Class and worked in the ships' office.
