Worked on Askari (ARL-30) as outside Electrian Mate EM3 from 1968-1969 pickup ship in Japan. I have pictures and will join your group. I was outside repair and worked on the boats.

Hi, Right out of shipfitter school in 61, I reported to the USS Pandemus, ARL18, Charleston Sc. Had the hull cracked on our way to Va. had to turn back. Still have the book written by 1 of the officers, The Ship With a Flat Tire, What a Ride!

On board JAN68-JAN69 One of "Rudy's Guys" in the Engine Shop. The other guys were: Stanley, Mongelli, Hart, Randell, Fryer, Schofield, Nelson, Lyman. How about some feed back guys. Mongelli and Fryer your E-mail addresses are not working from me to you.

I served on the USS Askari after she returned from Sasebo, Japan in 1955 through her decommissioning in Astoria, Oregon in 1956. I was a Yeoman 2nd Class and worked in the ships' office.

Served off and on the ship with ComLanShipRon3 when Commadore moved his staff from land base to ship base during 1954 & part of 1955. I was the Commadores Boat Coxswain during this time.
